Learning worlds - Description of the facilities

Children

The "Bumble Bees I" crèche was realized with the contractual partners Deutsche Post DHL Group and Deutsche Post as a company crèche. Our facility offers 21 full-time and 9 part-time places. We look after the children in an open facility. The functional rooms are adapted to the needs of the children and offer them the opportunity to develop and unfold their abilities and skills in a variety of ways.

Our team is made up of educators, nursery nurses, pediatric nurses, curative education nurses and social pedagogues.

Our claim

The "Bumble Bees" work according to the nationwide quality concept of the pme Familienservice and are audited and certified annually. We offer the children a wide range of play opportunities and areas of experience to encourage their desire and interest in learning. The balance between targeted activities and free play is important to us. We attach great importance to exercise in the fresh air. Research is something that comes naturally to children - everything is discovered or explored. Our open activities are based on the "Little Scientists' House" - here the children can learn and be amazed through small experiments from everyday life.

We are proud to present our new child protection concept. We put the safety and well-being of your children first. Every team member is fully trained and works to a jointly developed child protection plan to ensure that your children grow up in a safe and secure environment. We firmly believe that knowledge and awareness are the key to preventing danger. Our child protection concept includes clear guidelines and procedures.

Bounty

Every week, the team members take turns with the children to look after our roommate Bounty, a handsome stable bunny. As part of animal-assisted education, the children learn about responsible and loving interaction with animals. Here, too, the tactile and olfactory perception of the youngest children is stimulated by smelling and feeling the hay and straw and the animals' fur.

Our room concept

The play and activity material offered depends on the current group situation and dynamics. The lovingly designed and child-friendly rooms offer every child a variety of opportunities for discovery and experience.

By converting the group rooms into functional rooms, the open concept enables the children to play and learn in smaller groups. We give the children more freedom to organize their own developmental and educational processes. Each child can develop individually. There is also a large all-purpose room with movement materials based on the Pikler and Hengstenberg concept. There is also a play platform for climbing and sliding.

Outdoor area

Our facility has two outdoor areas. While one area is equipped with climbing and balancing paths on sand or bark mulch and a mud corner and offers space for driving bobby cars, the other is a purely green area with fruit and herb plants. There is also a large playground in the area and the Rhine meadows are within easy reach. As far as it is feasible, we go on many excursions and visit the nearby sports field or other playgrounds.
