Learning worlds - Description of the facilities

Children Pikler gymnastics

Supported by:

Our Theresie crèche was established with the support of the European Patent Office primarily as a childcare facility for company children. As of 01.01.2025, Theresie will be operated under the City of Munich's funding model and is therefore open to all children. The crèche has a total of 24 places for children aged between eight weeks and three years.

The crèche is open from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 16:00.

Quality as a trademark - our claim

Our focus is on the child! Pedagogically trained caregivers offer reliable and loving care and respond individually to the children. Curiosity and the desire to learn are stimulated and encouraged according to age. Our team consists of social pedagogues, educators and nursery nurses as well as other internationally recognized pedagogical qualifications.

The Theresie day nursery works according to the nationwide quality concept of the pme Familienservice and is audited and certified annually.

We attach particular importance to:

- a good balance between free play and targeted support.

- active language support.

- the development of children's body awareness through targeted and free movement activities.

- sensory development and the personal development of the individual children.

- the active, playful integration of each child's cultural background in the sense of an environment that promotes acceptance.

- the independent development of the child at its own pace, in which we intervene as little as possible.

- the participation of children in things that affect them, e.g. setting the table, helping with food preparation, helping with care.

- working in partnership with parents in accordance with our mission statement.

We are guided by Emmi Pikler's early childhood pedagogy.

Premises

Our unusual room structure is based on clear structures and multifunctional elements. These give the children orientation and encourage them to explore independently.

The race track is a clearly structured, spacious corridor. Here, the children can live out their urge to move and, depending on their age, crawl, take their first steps or move around in child-friendly vehicles.

The picnic area in the red group is a rectangular space with green flooring and side borders. It is the ideal place for group activities and an attractive meeting place for crawling and jumping during free play time.

The children's kitchen is equipped with child-friendly kitchen utensils and invites children to role-play together. Children can imitate the behavior of adults here.

With a floor space of 230 square meters, the Theresie crèche is extremely spacious. There is a terrace with sun protection for spending time outdoors and a playground and the Bavariapark are very close by.

Nutrition

The health of the children is very important to us, which is why a healthy and balanced range of meals is a matter of course at the crèche. We attach particular importance to a varied menu as well as fresh and high-quality food from organic and regional cultivation.
