childcare center Sonneberger Straße in the multicultural district of Bremen-Vahr is a public facility under private sponsorship and offers space for a total of 150 children.

In 4 elementary groups, 80 children from 3 to 6 years can be cared for, in 4 crèche groups 40 children from 0 to 3 years and in 2 mixed-age groups 30 children from 1 to 6 years.

All groups are currently sublet to other providers.

The facility and the concept were developed with the participation of Dr. Ilse Wehrmann (expert in early education, Wehrmann Education Consulting).

Opening hours

Our daily core opening hours are from 08:00 to 16:00. We also offer an early morning service from 07:30.

We attach particular importance to:

• arrange educational processes, e.g: Exploring and experimenting in the natural sciences with the "Little Scientists' House", etc.

• Autonomous movement development, free play and relational, cooperative care as basic themes of the Pikler/Hengstenberg pedagogy

• Holistic preschool work

• Language education

• Social learning and emotional development

• Creativity and early musical education

• Observation and documentation
   

Team

The facility is always managed by a pedagogical specialist. Organizational and planning tasks are professionally supported by a supra-regional childcare center management team.
The care team consists of professionally qualified and trained educational staff. We work on the basis of our pedagogical concept (download .pdf document, 3 MB).
 

Room concept

Each pme Familienservice facility has an individual room concept that is geared towards the needs of the respective age group. We design flexible room concepts that adapt to the different needs of the children and meet the necessary safety standards.

Nutrition

We attach great importance to a healthy, child-friendly, balanced and vitamin-rich diet. All meals (breakfast, lunch, snack time) are freshly prepared daily in our fresh kitchen using regional products. As mealtimes structure the daily routine and provide the children with an opportunity and time for conversation, the groups eat together at a fixed time.
