The sternchen is a childcare center for children from 8 weeks to three years of age. All sternchen on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, at a total of 11 locations throughout Germany, fulfill an age- and development-appropriate care and education mandate. For this purpose, an educational concept specially designed for Daimler was developed in conjunction with a quality manual.

The concept implements the following educational priorities:

- Bilingual supervision (German and English)

- Interaction between different cultures

- Movement, nature & technology

- Creativity & Music

- Healthy eating habits

Great importance is attached to intensive and individual care of the children in small groups by qualified educational staff.

Our flexible childcare offer Mon - Fri from 07:30 to 18:00 (place sharing possible) is based on the needs of the parents. Our facility is only closed on a few days during the summer vacations and between Christmas and New Year.
 

Premises

Our child-friendly rooms offer the children play and adventure spaces where they can let off steam and at the same time find quiet retreats. Above-average childcare ratios allow the teachers to focus intensively and individually on each individual child, their inclinations and talents and create plenty of space for loving attention.

Nutrition

Healthy eating habits (breakfast and lunch together as well as an afternoon snack) and consideration for individual dietary requirements, e.g. allergies, are a matter of course for us.

Training and qualification

Since 2011, we have been a focal point childcare center of the federal campaign "Early opportunities: language and integration"


 

From October 2011 to January 2013, we took part in the PädQuis training program "Quality from the start" (Download, 3 MB).

 

Since February 2013, we have been a "consultation daycare center" in the qualification offensive "Language education and support for children under the age of 3" of the German Youth Institute (Download, 2 MB).
