The highly sensitive child - challenges, needs and strengths
"Somehow she's just more sensitive...",
"I don't know what's wrong with him sometimes either",
"That was too much for her again!"
If you've heard your child say these sentences before, it may well be that your child is one of the 20-25% of people who are highly sensitive. Stimuli - perceived internally or experienced externally - are processed more intensively by these people than by normally sensitive people. Highly sensitive children also often have a strong sense of justice and can react sensitively to violence in stories or films.
In this specialist lecture, you will learn about these and other aspects of the highly sensitive constitution, especially in children, and gain a better understanding of why your child ticks the way it does. We will explain what highly sensitive children need and how we can support them in the best possible way. A further focus is placed on possible opportunities and strengths associated with the highly sensitive constitution.
