(Die Glocke Online, 29.05.2017) The children of childcare center Adventure Kids from Gütersloh are moving. The childcare center is being demolished and apartments for young people with disabilities are now being built at Bachschemm. However, the Adventure Kids have already found new accommodation.
The children were looked after at Bachschemm 12 until May 19, when they were told to move. The Adventure Kids daycare center has found new accommodation on Sophienstraße. However, this solution is temporary. A new childcare center opposite the Miele plant on Carl-Miele-Straße is due to be completed in March.
Many children are already being looked after by Miele employees at Adventure Kids. Until then, the team headed by Sabine Peters from pme Familienservice will be looking after the 30 girls and boys in two groups at Sophienstraße 7. As the children will want for nothing there either, games, books and painting and craft materials have also been moved. The outdoor area has a paved area for bobby cars, play houses and small rocks as well as a sand play area. Inside, there is an exercise room.
Sabine Peters emphasizes that not only the high standard of care can be maintained in the containers. It goes without saying that the safety regulations will also be implemented, for example with a separate fire alarm system.
