In the presence of Dr. Ilse Wehrmann, expert for early education, pme Familienservice personnel manager Nils Hofert, architect Udo Hayungs and those responsible for the construction planning and implementation, among others, the new - as yet nameless - childcare center officially started construction. The sponsor is Global Education, a wholly owned subsidiary of pme Familien-service GmbH. The client is Kathmann Projekte GmbH from Bremen.
The pme Familienservice Group has already built four childcare centers in Bremen over the last three years. The new building in Upsalastrasse is scheduled to open in May 2022.
More than childcare center: Meeting place for young and old
With a planned 90 public places, the new childcare center in Upsalastrasse will be more than just a childcare facility for Bremen's youngest children. Rather, the new building will be a modern meeting place for parents and their children. In addition, external collaborations will regularly fill the premises with life.

Educational concept: movement and research
In future, the children will conquer the new premises in three crèche groups and three elementary groups. In addition to a fresh kitchen, movement and digital education as well as social learning are important components that define the Global Education gGmbH concept and will also be used in this facility.
As in all pme Familienservice Group facilities, great importance is attached to the interior design of the latest Bremen childcare center . The childcare center will offer all children a spacious environment in which they can let off steam, but also relax and develop creatively. The Pikler/Hengstenberg movement concept provides orientation here.
Another focus, research and experimentation in collaboration with the "Haus der kleinen Forscher" (Little Scientists' House), taps into the children's love of discovery and encourages them to explore the world of science.
