Helmholtz Center Geesthacht
(Geesthacht, 31.03.2017) In 2007, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG) opened the childcare center "Einsteinchen CompanyKids" for the children of its employees. The facility is run by the pme Familienservice Group. On March 31, 2017, numerous well-wishers celebrated the 10th birthday together with children, parents and other guests.
"Research with a family should be made easier at our research center," explains Wolfgang Kaysser, Scientific Director of the HZG. And while the parents work at the HZG, their children can also research and discover in the kindergarten right next door. The Einsteincgen CompanyKids have been certified as a "House of Little Scientists" by the foundation of the same name since 2009. The educational staff at childcare center regularly undergo further training. The children can try out exciting experiments with water or sand in specially equipped research rooms.
