Frankfurt Alliance for Families: The Declaration

Children are our future. We need a social climate in which families feel comfortable and children are welcome. More family friendliness is a central concern of our society.

The "Frankfurt Alliance for Families", to which we are calling and inviting people, wants to set an example for a sustainable family policy.

In the Frankfurt Alliance for Families, we will place the situation of families at the center of social, economic and political interest and work continuously to improve the living conditions of families. We will make committed use of the opportunities offered by the alliance to exchange information on existing services, develop new ideas and projects, learn from each other and network services for families.

With this aim in mind, the signatories founded the "Frankfurt Alliance for Families". They form the alliance's board of trustees and promote family-friendly measures and projects in their areas of activity. They each send a representative from their institutions and associations to the coordination group of the "Frankfurt Alliance for Families" and agree to support their participation in the working group.

Furthermore, the signatories declare their willingness to promote a family-friendly Frankfurt in public in the long term.

It is time to rediscover the shared opportunities, shared interests and shared responsibility for families.
