Language is the most important means of communication for us humans. But how can we help children acquire language in a playful way that is suitable for everyday life?

As part of a workshop, building on a brief introduction to language acquisition, language-promoting behaviors and games are developed. The focus is on games and language-promoting situations that can be easily implemented in everyday life with children. In a second part, the games are tried out and tested and language-promoting behaviors are practiced. The special features of children growing up multilingually are also addressed. Questions regarding the language development of individual children can be asked and discussed at the end.

I can stand it with you

Booking number: VA_92132
Date: 22.03.25, 09:00 - 14:30

Registration here until 07.03.25

Children experience a wide range of emotions every day. It is not uncommon for them to be overwhelmed by their own feelings, even in daycare. The training combines your practical pedagogical experience with methodical suggestions to strengthen children in their emotional skills. In this way, children learn to deal constructively with their own and other people's feelings.

We deal with neurological principles, support through mindful co-regulation and the thematization of children's feelings in their entire range. Another elementary component is reflecting on your own handling of emotions and acting in pedagogical relationships. The ability to recognize your own emotions more easily and control them better opens up new opportunities for action.

In a second part, we will work out specific ideas on how you can integrate the languages you already speak (either your children's or your own) into your daycare routine. We will be happy to answer any personal questions you may have.

While some children express their excessive demands loudly, others remain quiet. These introverted children in particular can easily be overlooked in everyday life.

You are invited to recognize these quiet signals and strengthen children's resilience in a targeted manner. You will gain an insight into current research findings on children's resilience and look at important everyday situations from the perspective of both noisy and quieter children.

In case work, we work together to develop concrete implementation aids that you can apply directly in your daily practice. We also reflect on how we deal with challenging situations to ensure that all children receive the best possible support.
