Dear childminders in Munich,

Caring for children is a demanding task that you face in your everyday work. In order to ensure the quality of childcare, further and advanced training is a key issue.

This allows you as a childminder to reflect on yourself and your work and continuously develop it. This will sharpen your profile and enable you to present yourself to parents as professionally and personally competent.

At our training courses, you will not only receive input from our speakers, but also from other childminders and can exchange ideas and network with them.

Here you can see at a glance our current training program with the offers until the end of 2025.

You can register online for the individual training courses directly from here.

These training courses are all recognized and funded by the Munich City Youth Welfare Office. Therefore, they may only be attended by Munich childminders.

Our training courses are sorted by subject area, as in the brochure. If you click on the relevant area, you will be taken directly to the list of offers:

Day 1: Developmental milestones in child development from 0 to 36 months

On the first day, the basics of healthy child development (prerequisites, requirements of the environment, findings from attachment theory, as well as cognitive, motor and language milestones), as well as deviations from these, are explored in greater depth. In addition, the KTTPs learn how to observe and assess using their own case studies.

Day 2: Conversations with parents made easier - reflecting, expanding skills

On the second day, we will develop the conditions for a solution-oriented and person-centered discussion situation between KTTPs and parents. We will reflect on our own practical examples or cases brought in from the first day in order to prepare for difficult conversations with parents and expand our own skills. Methods, templates and support options are presented.

You will learn how to assess and encourage children's manual skills and provide age- and development-appropriate suggestions. We collect our own natural materials during the seminar. In this way, you will get to know nature better and can then discover and collect together with the children.

We deal with the positive attitude towards the task of considering cultural diversity in learning and educational situations in everyday childcare. We use selected occasions in everyday pedagogical life in which we encounter cultural values and norms and explore the question of how you can create a culturally sensitive and diversity-conscious interaction with children and parents.

To this end, we will spend 3 evenings in several modules based on the "Fit for Diversity" curriculum to develop ideas for a prejudice-conscious attitude for your day-to-day work in childcare. We will take a closer look at how you can implement these ideas in your pedagogical work with children and in your cooperation with parents. You will also reflect on your prejudice-conscious attitude when dealing with cooperation partners.

Growing older (healthily) in child day care

Growing older is always a challenge and the acquisition of new skills. In the field of child day care, older colleagues experience specific challenges.

We look at myths/facts about age, learning and performance. Together we develop strategies for the demands of childcare. We look at the personal image of age and the question: "How do I keep myself physically healthy for working with children?".
