Giftedness in children - recognizing, understanding, accompanying
Some children ask questions to which adults have no answers, throw themselves enthusiastically into a new topic - and sometimes lose interest in everything else. Others withdraw into their special interests, appearing very serious or rebellious. Gifted children often perceive the world in a special way - this can fascinate, challenge and sometimes cause parents to ponder.
In this specialist lecture, you will learn what giftedness actually means, how the term is classified in the context of neurodivergence and what general signs can be seen in children at different stages of development. You will also find out what diagnostic options are available, what support can look like and what practical tips parents can use in everyday life to support their children in the best possible way.
