A good start, a happy child: how to support the transition to childcare center

Topic:

The transition from family to daycare is a particular challenge for children, especially in the first 3 years of life, and it can also be an exciting time for parents. Many of the family's established habits change, the child begins to go its own way and new relationships enter the family system. This period of upheaval can be accompanied by many questions: What can I do to make my child feel comfortable in external care? How will they react when I leave them and what emotions might I experience myself in this situation?
This specialist lecture will provide you with information on which developmental psychology and attachment theory concepts can support you and your child during this time. You will learn about some of the settling-in models practised at our childcare centers and how they make a significant contribution to a settling-in period that is tailored to the child.
