From the direction of Bochum/Dortmund

As far as Dortmund, as you know the route. From the A 45 change to the A 40 (former B1 or A 430). Head towards Bochum/Essen, then change to the A 52 towards Düsseldorf. Take the Essen-Rüttenscheid exit, then turn right onto Alfredstr. (B224). After the ARAL gas station turn right (Martinstr.); signpost GIRARDET HAUS, 1st street right Rüttenscheider Str., next street left (Girardetstr.) Immediately on the left side you will find the house number 1-5.

Coming from Cologne/Düsseldorf

Take the A 52, exit at Essen-Rüttenscheid and go straight on at the traffic lights until the end. Turn left onto Alfredstraße (B224). After the ARAL gas station, turn right (Martinstr.); follow the signs to GIRARDET HAUS, take the first right onto Rüttenscheider Str., then the next left (Girardetstr.). You will find house numbers 1-5 immediately on the left-hand side.

Coming from Duisburg/Oberhausen

Take the A 40 to the exit Essen-Zentrum (B224) (ARAL gas station). Choose the middle lane, pass the first traffic light, then turn right at the 1st major intersection (WAZ) (Friedrichstraße), at the next traffic light turn right again into Bismarckstraße (B224 Werden; Messe/GRUGA), signposted GIRARDET HAUS. At the 4th set of traffic lights turn left into Martinstraße, signposted GIRARDET HAUS. At the 1st set of traffic lights turn right into Rüttenscheider Straße, then take the 1st left into Girardetstraße. You will find house numbers 1-5 on the left-hand side.

Coming from the main station

With line 107, 108 or the U11

Both tram lines run in the direction of Essen Bredeney. The subway in the direction of Essen Messe W.-Süd/Gruga.

Get off at the Martinstraße stop and follow the signs for GIRARDET HAUS on Rüttenscheider Straße. Take the next left into Girardetstraße. Entrance 1-5 is immediately on the left.
