20 Years of Companykids Königskinder
We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a very special art opening. In the run-up to the event, we worked closely with the children on dots and curves, drawing inspiration from the artist Yayoi Kusama. This collaboration resulted in a wide variety of artworks created in our workshops.
The exhibition featured more than just the children’s artwork. Our workshops were also stocked with materials related to the themes and invited visitors to explore the various topics further. We used “talking walls” to illustrate the learning processes that emerged as the children engaged with dots, circles, and curves. This allowed guests to see how the children’s ideas developed and evolved over time.
Everyone had the chance to get involved in a variety of hands-on activities. A special highlight was our confetti table. Here, children and adults alike could let loose, explore the materials, and give free rein to their creativity without any restrictions.
Our parent council also actively supported the anniversary celebration. Postcards designed by the children were on sale, and colorful canvases were available for auction. The proceeds will benefit the children and will be used to purchase an outdoor easel. This will allow the children to continue their creative work outdoors soon.
We look back on a joyful, inspiring celebration that centered on the children, their ideas, and the educational processes in our workshop-based teaching program. Here’s to the next 20 years of CompanyKids Königskinder!
