We have 20 closing days a year: 10 days during the summer vacation, between Christmas and New Year, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve as well as on public holidays and bridging days.

Groups & Size

Our childcare center consists of two groups. In the Mäusenest, 10 children aged 0 to 2 years play, experiment, sing and romp around, while 20 children aged 2 to 6 years play in the Bärenhöhle.

Our day begins with a balanced breakfast of home-baked bread, muesli and rolls. Fruit and vegetables are sourced regionally and seasonally from the Mersch farm. Lunch is delivered fresh daily by Jagdhaus Feldmann.

Our villa offers the children plenty of space on 2.5 floors to experience, learn and try things out. Movement is an important part of our educational work, which is why we make intensive use of the movement rooms and the outdoor area.

In our outdoor area, the children can let off steam and experience their bodies. We plant strawberries, lettuce, herbs and beets together in our beds. In this way, the children learn about the entire process from seed to finished fruit and vegetables.

Important focal points are the Pikler and Hengstenberg pedagogy, the STEM area and animal-assisted pedagogy. We receive regular visits from a childcare center assistance dog and regularly observe various animals as part of projects.

Together with the children, we explore our home town of Hopsten and visit the various Bedo stations on walks. With the older children, we work on the information about the stations and record it in the Bedo folders.
