Supply chain due diligence
Respect for human rights and the environment

The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz - LkSG) obliges companies based in Germany to comply with human rights due diligence obligations in their own business operations and in the supply chain.

In this context, the pme Familienservice Group (pme) has adopted a declaration of principles. In doing so, pme undertakes to respect human rights and environmental concerns within its own business activities and in its global supply chains and to ensure that human rights and environmental violations are prevented:

"We, the pme Familienservice Group, are committed to respecting human rights and environmental obligations within our supply chain and regard the protection of human rights as a central element. We implement applicable law, respect internationally recognized human rights and environmental obligations and take care to prevent human rights violations and environmental pollution in the course of our business activities.

In particular, we condemn child and forced labor, all forms of slavery and (modern) human trafficking as well as any form of discrimination. We are also committed to complying with the occupational health and safety regulations applicable at the respective place of employment, paying appropriate wages and protecting the freedom of association of our team members."

Our human rights and environmental priorities

As part of our risk analysis, we will identify risks to human rights and environmental issues that we consider to be a priority due to their nature, scope and potential significance for our company, among other things, and will publish these in due course.

Our expectations of our employees and suppliers

The principles set out in this policy statement apply both to our own business, i.e. to all our employees, and to our suppliers in the supply chain.

We also expect our suppliers and business partners to commit to our principles and to develop and implement appropriate and effective processes to address and prevent the risks and violations we have identified and to identify further potential risks.
In order to communicate our expectations of our suppliers and business partners transparently, we will develop a Supplier Code of Conduct, which will become an integral part of all supplier contracts.

Procedure for implementing the due diligence obligations of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)

3. web analysis, cookies and local storage

Data is collected and stored on this website for marketing and optimization purposes. This data can be used to create user profiles under a pseudonym. Cookies and local storage entries can be used for this purpose. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer when you visit a website. Local storage entries consist of data that is also stored on your computer and can continue to exist and be read after closing the browser window or exiting the program - provided they do not delete the cache. Cookies make it possible to adapt our website to the interests of the user or to store user data so that it does not have to be re-entered by the user each time.

The data from the local storage allows you to continue your conversations in our chat modules. You also have the option of saving your personal data for future event registrations by actively agreeing to this in our event calendar.

The following data is stored:

- Status of the chat widget

- Page visits and views

In addition, the servers on which personal data is stored are located in a specially secured data center.

5. external "links"

As a service provider in accordance with the Digital Services Act (DDG), pme Familienservice is responsible for its own content that it makes available for use in accordance with general laws.
A distinction must be made between this own content and references to external content from other providers ("links"). By providing such references, pme Familienservice does not adopt the external content as its own. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for this external content.

At the time of the initial link, the linked content was checked for possible legal violations. However, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of a violation of the law.
As soon as pme Familienservice becomes aware of illegal content on linked pages, it will remove such links immediately.

6. third-party providers - analytics, maps, marketing, messenger & social media

6.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
The use of Google Analytics is based exclusively on your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
The purpose of processing is to statistically analyze user behavior in order to optimize our online offering, improve user-friendliness, and detect errors.
For this purpose, the following information, among other things, is processed:

  • pages accessed
  • length of stay
  • devices and browsers used
  • approximate location data (based on truncated IP addresses)
  • Origin of visitors (referrer URLs)

The IP address is anonymized by default, so that a direct reference to a person is excluded.
During processing, data may also be transferred to the USA. In such cases, Google relies on the EU standard contractual clauses and additional technical and organizational protective measures.
Further information on data processing by Google can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6.2 Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA. The function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called "cookie" is stored in the website visitor's browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor may be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google's remarketing function.

According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can always deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at www.google.com. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at www.networkadvertising.org.

6.3 Use of Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps map service, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to display interactive maps and create directions.
Google Maps is only integrated after you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. Google Maps will not be loaded without your consent.
By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website, including your IP address, may be transmitted to Google servers and processed there. This may also involve the transfer of personal data to the USA. In such cases, Google relies on the EU standard contractual clauses and additional technical and organizational protective measures.
We have no influence on the type and scope of data processing by Google. For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The terms of use for Google Maps can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/help/terms_maps/

6.4 Use of Facebook links

Our website contains links to the social network Facebook, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Facebook"). The links are recognizable by the Facebook logo.
These are purely links. Only when you actively click on the respective link will a connection to Facebook's servers be established.
By clicking on the link, Facebook receives the information that you have visited the corresponding page of our website. In doing so, personal data, in particular your IP address, may be transferred to Meta's servers and processed there. If you are logged into your Facebook account, Facebook can assign the visit to your user account. If you do not want this, please log out of your Facebook account before clicking on the link.
We have no influence on the type, scope, and purpose of data processing by Facebook. For more information on data processing and your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

6.5 Use of WhatsApp

We also offer you the option of submitting your inquiries via the WhatsApp chat service and receiving feedback on your request via WhatsApp. This service is operated by WhatsApp, a subsidiary of Meta. When you communicate with us via WhatsApp, both we and WhatsApp receive your phone number and information that you have contacted our hotline.

The aforementioned data is also forwarded by WhatsApp to servers in the USA and processed by WhatsApp in accordance with the WhatsApp privacy policy, which also includes processing for their own purposes, such as improving the WhatsApp service.

We process your phone number, your name, and other data you have provided, as well as the content of your inquiry or message, in order to process your request and respond to any queries you may have.

The basis for this processing and the transmission to WhatsApp in this context is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR, insofar as your request concerns an existing contractual relationship with us or serves to initiate such a contractual relationship. Otherwise, this data processing is based on consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR. We take your interests into account by the fact that communication via WhatsApp is only an additional option. Of course, you can also contact us by other means, for example by phone call, email or via our contact form on the website. In addition, where possible, we use a separate device for the contact option via WhatsApp, in which only the contact details of the inquirers who communicate with us via WhatsApp are stored, so that WhatsApp only receives data from inquirers who voluntarily use the service.

6.6 Use of Cleverreach for newsletters and email marketing

We use the software solution provided by CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany ("CleverReach") to send newsletters and personalized information and service emails.
Your data is processed exclusively for the purpose of sending newsletters or processing your specific request. In particular, we process your email address and, if applicable, other data you have voluntarily provided, e.g., your name or preferences for certain content.
Data processing is based on your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you can revoke at any time with future effect. You can unsubscribe from receiving further communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter.

On this website, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via the Userlike live chat service. The operator is Userlike UG (limited liability), Deisterweg 7, 51109 Cologne, Germany ("Userlike").
Userlike uses cookies for the use of live chat. These text files are stored on your device to maintain the chat session, keep the chat open while you are browsing, and ensure that you are assigned to the same operator.
The data collected during live chat, in particular chat content, IP address, and metadata, is stored and processed on Userlike servers in Germany. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest) in order to enable, simplify, and improve communication with you.
For quality assurance and improvement of our services, chat conversations may be evaluated on a random basis by our IT staff or quality management. This is done with due regard for confidentiality and only to the extent necessary, also on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
Further information on data protection at Userlike can be found here: https://www.userlike.com/de/terms#privacy-policy

6.8 Matomo and etracker web analytics

We also use Matomo and etracker as web analytics tools. Both systems are configured so that no cookies are set. All data is stored completely anonymously and in compliance with the GDPR. The data is not passed on to third parties.
This configuration ensures that the analysis data collected is used exclusively to optimize our website without compromising your privacy.

6.9 Flickr

Our learning system (LeSy) sends emails to customers, some of which contain images provided via Flickr. Flickr is used to display image galleries and integrate media content.
When the Flickr widget is embedded in a page or email, data is automatically transferred to Flickr's servers when the page or email is accessed. Flickr is operated by SmugMug Inc., Suite 200, 67 E Evelyn Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94041, USA.
The data collected in this process may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. SmugMug is a member of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which has been recognized as adequate by the EU Commission in accordance with Art. 45 GDPR. The transfer of your data to the USA is therefore permissible.
As soon as a connection to Flickr is established, cookies may be set in which, among other things, user data, login information, and user behavior are stored. If you are logged in to Flickr, Flickr can assign the access and your behavior to your user account. To prevent this, you must log out of your Flickr account before using it.
