World Literacy Day

Webinar on 08.09.2025 from 13:00-13:30

An impulse from RAMONA KRÄMER, parent counselor, systemic couple and family therapist

The international IGLU study published in 2023 proves that Pupils in Year 4 are reading worse than they were 5 years ago. A quarter of children do not reach the internationally defined minimum standard in reading that would be necessary for further successful learning. No wonder, given that books are increasingly competing with digital media, which require significantly less concentration and at the same time appeal to the brain's reward system.

Supporting children in learning to read can therefore not only be the task of the school, the home is a decisive factor. Find out in this short presentation what you can do as parents to help your children enjoy reading right from the start and give them a key to a world full of imagination and knowledge.
