Forever a child? How we can actively shape our relationship with our parents.

Topic:

How can adult children set themselves apart when elderly parents are still involved in their lives for a long time? Do children owe their parents something or vice versa? How can we support our parents as they get older? How can we deal with the fact that our relationship with our parents is strained and cannot be changed?
This lecture sheds light on how the relationship with our parents can grow up, how we can learn to take care of our own childish parts, communicate with our parents as equals, cultivate beautiful rituals in the family & change those that have become inappropriate. If we feel like adults ourselves, if we help determine closeness and distance in contact, this is also a good prerequisite for finding coherent solutions when elderly parents become in need of help.
With the help of examples from families, facts from psychology & simple exercises and reflection questions, you will get an overview of where your relationship with your own parents stands.
