Our work is guided by the educational philosophy of Emmi Pikler and Elfriede Hengstenberg, as well as the “Learning Worlds” educational concept, which is based on Christel van Dieken’s “workshop pedagogy.” Our “ childcare center ” is currently located in a cozy temporary facility at the sports field. Starting in the summer of 2026, we’ll be moving—along with our dog Prya—into our new, modern five-group facility on Bahnhofstraße. As a future certified family center, we look forward to offering a wide range of programs for the whole family!

In October 2026, we'll be moving into our new offices at Bahnhofstraße 24 in Altenberge!

Our childcare center is closed on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and on public holidays in NRW. In addition, we have 20 closing days, 15 of which are during the summer vacations.

In our childcare center , we look after children in two groups: The crèche group (1-3 years) and the elementary group (2-6 years). Here we play, learn and laugh together. Every child can develop freely in a loving environment.

A different breakfast buffet awaits the children every day. At lunchtime, the children can decide for themselves what and how much they want to eat. We take individual needs such as vegetarian food, allergies and diet into account!
