Angelina Boerger: A carnival in your head – How ADHD makes our thinking more colorful

Topic:

When Angelina Boerger was diagnosed with ADHD at nearly 30, her “differences” suddenly made sense. In her talk, she humorously and honestly describes what ADHD means in everyday life: creative highs, sensory overload, and exhaustion. She highlights the strengths that neurodivergent thinking offers when recognized and supported: focused enthusiasm, extraordinary ideas, empathy, and unconventional problem-solving.

At the same time, she speaks openly about the downsides—such as prejudice, stigmatization, and discrimination—which can lead to suffering, misdiagnoses, and health consequences. Boerger invites us to view ADHD and autism as natural human diversity—not as “wrong” or “broken.” Her talk is aimed at anyone who wants to better understand neurodivergent people and make workplaces more inclusive.
