New lecture series 2025: "HerHealth"
(Berlin, February 18, 2025) The pme Familienservice Group is setting an example for women's health in the workplace. With the introduction of the "HerHealth" lecture series, Germany's largest EAP service provider is focusing on women-specific health issues. The aim is to raise awareness of the special health needs of women at work.
Talking about women's health is important Although women make up almost half of the workforce, their specific health needs are often still a blind spot in the world of work. Topics such as menstrual cramps, hormonal changes, menopause or mental stress are rarely discussed openly - even though they have a significant impact on well-being and performance in the workplace.
"With 'HerHealth', we want to help ensure that women's health finally receives the attention it deserves. After all, a healthy working environment for women is not only a benefit for the women themselves, but also for companies as a whole," explains nutritional therapist and initiator of the event series Giannina Schmelling.
Co-initiator and pme trainer Beatrix von Rantzau adds: "Women's health is particularly important in the context of work and the growing skills gap. A major McKinsey study from 2024 puts the global economic potential of improved women's health at USD 1 trillion per year."
"HerHealth" de-tabooed
The "HerHealth" lecture series aims to help women and companies alike to establish women's health as an important part of work and health culture.
It is available to all employees of pme client companies that have the "Academy to go" format in their service package. This gives these companies the specific opportunity to integrate the health needs of women into their company health services.
Another aspect of the initiative is education and breaking down taboos: by openly addressing women-specific topics, prejudices are to be broken down and an awareness of the special health challenges faced by women is to be created.
