Neurodivergent people are creative, authentic, and innovative. At the same time, they face daily challenges in adapting to behaviors and communication styles that are considered “normal”—this takes a toll and can be exhausting.

Neurodiversity—which encompasses diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other neurological developmental differences—often feels like a confusing maze.

Our initiative sheds light on the whole picture: we provide guidance, share in-depth knowledge, and create spaces for exchange on an equal footing. In doing so, we highlight what neurodiverse perspectives really mean—and why they must not only be considered but also recognized in schools, families, and the workplace.

Under My Skin – Learning to Live Well with My High Sensitivity

Topic:

"Don't take it so personally!", "There's no point in overthinking it!", "You're too soft-hearted!" ... Have you ever heard these phrases? If you feel that things often get under your skin too much and you're easily overwhelmed by your surroundings, then it might be because you're a highly sensitive person. Perhaps you already know this, but struggle in your daily life to practice the self-care necessary to better protect yourself. We will explore the definition and characteristics of the highly sensitive constitution according to Elaine Aron. We’ll discuss the strengths as well as the associated challenges, and above all, you’ll have the opportunity to bring up your own issues and questions. Here, you can benefit from exchanging ideas with like-minded people in a safe environment, and together we’ll explore new coping strategies through peer counseling.
