pme Familienservice wins Hamburg Health Award 2024

(Hamburg, May 07, 2024). Under this year's main theme "Healthy and safe through stormy times! Successfully mastering crises with company health management", pme Familienservice GmbH received the Hamburg Health Award for its internal company health management in times of crisis.

The award ceremony took place on May 6 as part of the 18th Hamburg Business Health Day at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. Melanie Schlotzhauer, Senator for Labor, Health, Social Affairs, Family and Integration and patron of the award, and HAG Chairwoman Prof. Dr. Susanne Busch honored the award winners, including pme Familienservice GmbH (Hamburg location).

Margit Werner, Head of pme Familienservice GmbH Hamburg, was delighted to receive the award in the small companies category in the healthcare/services sector: "The challenges of recent years, including the coronavirus pandemic and the impact of the war in Ukraine, have shown how important sound occupational health management is. We too have had to overcome many challenges. We are therefore proud to receive the Hamburg Health Award. This award confirms our many years of work and our commitment to the health and well-being of all team members at pme Familienservice. It is important for us to celebrate successes together."

Now also award-winning: the internal OHM of the pme Familienservice

In the last few crisis-ridden years, pme Familienservice GmbH has increasingly focused on flexible working, transparent communication and the involvement of team members in decision-making processes. With success:

  • All team members were able to work flexibly across locations and activities during the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Relevant information was communicated regularly and promptly via various channels and in a direct exchange across hierarchies.
  • The team members were regularly involved in shaping their working environment and the strategic direction of the pme Familienservice Group in a participatory manner.
  • The managers worked together with their teams on individual solutions (e.g. on-site presence, home office).

The success of this strategic approach is reflected in the high level of loyalty and motivation of the team members to overcome the crisis together. Instead of losing employees, new jobs were created. At pme Familienservice , occupational health management (OHM) is integrated into everyday working life in a variety of ways in all areas and is therefore an integral part of the corporate culture.
